Kim
Cloud ArchitectKim is a Cloud Architect focusing on web applications and performance/security.
Kim began his career in IT over ten years ago as a System Administrator specializing in Linux systems. After a year or so, he transitioned from Sysadmin to DevOps Engineer and began converting on-prem installations to cloud-based (AWS) ones. He was also responsible for architecting an AWS-hosted platform (for the media industry to publish their news). It soon became a popular SaaS product, and the company hosted several major newspaper websites.
In recent years (before joining Evolate), Kim has been moving more on-prem solutions into AWS, educating others, advocating AWS services to developers, designing new cloud services, and creating CI/CD pipelines for all company applications. Kim has been working with AWS for around nine years and hopes to bring his skills to Evolate customers while also being able to explore new areas within Cloud and work in an innovative and creative way.
Main techs: AWS, CloudFormation, ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, Docker, CI/CD, IaC, Linux, Bash, Python.
- Outside of family and friends, Kim loves Arch Linux and cold IPA
- He dislikes using Zypper
- And Kim raided as a healer in a Top 100 World of Warcraft guild during the relaunch of Classic.
